Ethos

“Everything that comes into relationship is allowed to heal.”
— Thomas Hübl

This principle lies at the heart of my work. Healing begins not by trying to fix or change what’s difficult, but by bringing it into safe, attuned relationship — where it can be seen, felt, and met with care.

I see myself as a guest in your inner world — someone who walks alongside you with respect, curiosity, and steadiness. My role is not to lead or diagnose from a distance, but to support your unfolding with presence and clarity.

Challenges, symptoms, and stuck places often carry hidden intelligence. When given space, they can reveal both the impact of your past and the strength that has carried you through. In this way, healing becomes not just a return to wholeness, but a deepening into your resilience, capacity, and connection.

About

My name is Simon Courtney. I’m an accredited psychotherapist (APCP, Ireland), coach, and group facilitator offering depth-oriented support to individuals navigating emotional, relational, and existential challenges.

Before becoming a therapist, I studied Human Genetics and was on a path toward medicine. I was driven by a deep curiosity about the human blueprint — how we’re made, what we carry, and how we heal. But as I moved further into science and clinical training, I felt a longing for more: more connection, more time, and more depth in how I related to others and to myself.

That longing became a quiet compass, guiding me away from conventional medicine and toward the human experience in all its complexity — the nervous system, relationships, trauma, and the unfolding spiritual journey. Alongside a decade of personal and relational work, this brought me into the field of psychotherapy.

“The solution is not to find a way out. The solution is in relating to the movement inside.”
– Thomas Hübl

In addition to my one-to-one work, I have supported and co-facilitated group spaces focused on men’s development, collective trauma integration, ancestral healing, and spiritual inquiry. I’m committed to holding spaces where personal transformation is rooted in relational presence, and where healing is seen in context — culturally, historically, and somatically.

I currently work as a therapist and coach in private practice, and I’m involved in several initiatives dedicated to collective healing and meaning-making.
